WOODSTOCK – A Lakewood teen is facing felony drug charges after police said he had more than a half pound of marijuana, 105 ecstasy pills and two vials of steroids.
Nathan R. Wayne, 19, of the 7500 block of Inverway Drive, was arrested by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office on Monday and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a Class X felony; unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 1 felony; unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class 3 felony; possession of cannabis, a Class 4 felony; possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony; and one count of possession of steroids, a Class C misdemeanor.
If convicted of a Class X felony, he could face 6 to 30 years.
Investigators said Wayne had slightly more than half a pound of marijuana (282 grams), 105 ecstasy pills, 5.5 Alprazolam pills and 300 ml or two vials of steroids in his possession, according to court documents. The estimated street value is $7,810, deputies said.
He is being held in McHenry County jail custody in lieu of posting 10 percent of his $100,000 bond. Wayne will appear before Judge Michael Feetterer on May 19.
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office was not immediately available for comment.
