2 arrested on felony drug charges after sheriff's deputies find heroin during Cary traffic stop

CARY – Two 20-year-olds are facing felony drug charges after McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies found heroin in a car during a traffic stop Tuesday in Cary.

Caleb S. Redd, 20, of Crystal Lake and Madison J. Larson, 20, both were charged Tuesday with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. They face up to three years in prison if convicted.

Redd also was charged with driving with a revoked license. Police could not immediately provide an address for Larson.

Sheriff’s deputies stopped a gray Cadillac they saw speeding in the area of Three Oaks Road and Montana Road in Cary and found 2.8 grams of heroin upon searching the car, according to the release.

The street value of the drugs is estimated to be $300.
