CRYSTAL LAKE – There will be a veterans-oriented town hall Wednesday at McHenry County College.
Lovell Federal Health Care Center of North Chicago is hosting the meeting in partnership with the Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County and MCC student veterans.
The town hall will be from 7 to
9 p.m. at the Luecht Conference Center, preceded by a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Lovell is inviting veterans, families, students, community partners and the public.
Lovell FHCC’s town hall will feature its director, Stephen R. Holt; Mike Iwanicki, VAC of McHenry County superintendent; and Hughes S. Turner, Veteran Affairs Chicago Regional Benefit Office director.
“The town hall forum will cover the topics of both Department of Veterans Affairs health care (provided through the Lovell FHCC), and VA benefits,” according to a news release from Lovell.
After a short update from Holt, there will be an open question-and-answer forum. Lovell FHCC said the town hall affirms its commitment to provide transparent communication to the community.
Lovell FHCC operates four Naval Station Great Lakes clinics and three community-based outpatient clinics in McHenry, Evanston and Kenosha, Wisconsin.
