Benjamin A. Iandola, 21, of the 3100 block of Lincoln Road, entered a home Friday in the 2100 block of Fairview Avenue, Johnsburg, court documents show.
Officials said Iandola threw a resident of the home to the ground and hit her with a wooden table leg. He also broke the woman’s cellphone, preventing her from calling 911, court records show.

He also is charged with use of weapons after police said he had brass knuckles on him at the time.
The most serious charge against Iandola, home invasion, typically is punishable by six to 30 years in prison.
Although police were not available to comment on the sequence of events, Iandola also is accused of stealing the woman’s 2006 Pontiac G6 and damaging a pottery candleholder, court records show.
Iandola’s bond is set at $250,000, and he is due in court Wednesday.
