Letters to the Editor

Letter: Journalists are the worst

To the Editor:

With flags at half-mast more often than not, Americans drift increasingly toward defensive numbness, denial with regard to open assaults upon our traditional way of life. Career politicians, only too willing to politicize wanton violence for their own selfish purposes, trip over one another pursuing shameless selfie photo-ops, disingenuous face time that is void of any real solutions for our national dilemma.

Across an inherently dangerous world landscape, engaged Americans find themselves nonstop targets of headline whiplash, an avalanche of shiny objects, from a deeply biased media class, unprincipled disciples of ratings and cheesy sensationalism.

Permanently draining the information swamp, separating hot-air blather from long sought-after truth, will take some time; not a wimp maneuver.

Patriotic Americans will hunker down over the long haul in pursuit of transparency from trusted leaders born of genuine character and valued wisdom. Let the long overdue therapeutic sandblasting of a corrupt body politic, sustained and nurtured by journalistic malpractice, begin in earnest.
