To the Editor:
As we reflect on 2017, it’s important to think of all of those who helped to make it another special year filled with love and support.
Thank you to Dena Kontos, Emma Nickoley, Morgan Vachio, Riley Rowan, Kylie Skepnek and the many families for organizing and participating in another tremendous Hit for Henry event.
Thank you to the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Team Momentum family, particularly the members of Henry’s Heroes: Kim Kreiling, Abbey Hauser, Jessica Jones, Spencer Hagan and Sara Larsen, and thank you to everyone who has joined us in support. We are so honored to share in this journey with you all.
To our incredible friends, Seth and Karen Kopf of Kopf Running, seeing what Henry’s Hustle has grown into over the years has been truly amazing. You have our love and gratitude always. Also, thank you to the 500 participants for helping us start Thanksgiving off right and to the generous sponsors, including Art Van Furniture, Creative Promotional Apparel, Ringwood Cabinetry, Woods Creek Tavern, Tom’s Farm Market, Intren, McGrath Honda, Meijer, Aldi, First National Bank, Orangetheory Fitness, Transient Artisan Ales, Planet Fitness, The Running Depot, Fitness 19, Woodman’s, Ed’s Rental, Sawyer Falduto Asset Management, Spin N Play Productions, Smith Physical Therapy, Home State Bank, JA Frate, Athletico, Arctic Heating & Cooling, PWC Chiropractic, Fix Auto, The Vitamin Shoppe, Caterina Flower from Farmer’s Insurance, Mark Krueger from State Farm, J3 Timing, The Northwest Herald and the countless in-kind donors for making the event possible.
Thank you to the Crystal Lake Racket Club for generously opening your club to host our first Winter MDA Classic, the start of a great new tradition!
Finally, thank you to all those who made our 16th annual Chris Applegate Memorial Charity Soccer Tournament a success, especially Paul Miceli at McHenry Athletic Complex for hosting us yet again; Rick Ceh for coordinating our officiating crew; and our officials, Rick Naatz, Mike Schmickley and Rick Blaisdell, for selflessly volunteering their time.
We continue to be amazed. Here’s to a 2018 filled with love and kindness.
