WOODSTOCK – The McHenry-Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold elections for three board positions this week.
The elections will be from 7 a.m. to
5 p.m. Thursday at the SWCD’s Woodstock offices, 1648 S. Eastwood Drive.
Here’s a look at the candidates:
• Ron Bauman – a farmer from the village of Union and a current board member who is running for re-election.
• Critch Judd – the chairman of the board who also is running for re-election.
• Ashley Warren – a newcomer who lives in the rural portion of McHenry County between Marengo and Woodstock. She’s a former soil and water employee from Ford County.
Each board member serves a two-year term.
Eligible voters must be at least
18 years old and own or operate land within McHenry or Lake counties,
according to a district news release.
The district also will host an open house to showcase resources available to residents on its property. The open house will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. For information, visit www.mchenryswcd.org.
