McHENRY – A Wonder Lake woman remained at the McHenry County Jail on Tuesday afternoon after police said she stole more than $10,000 worth of another woman’s jewelry and pawned it at a McHenry shop.

According to a complaint filed in McHenry County court, 27-year-old Nicole Grizely stole a Rolex wristwatch and gold rope bracelet worth between $10,000 and $100,000. A more specific value was not available.

Grizely, of the 3300 block of Pleasure Avenue, then pawned the jewelry at
B & B Jewelry and Pawn, 4005 Kane Ave., McHenry, according to the complaint.

Pawn shop employees were not available to comment Tuesday.

Police arrested Grizely on Monday and took her to the county jail, where she will remain unless she posts $5,000 bail.

Grizely is charged with theft, a felony offense typically punishable by three to seven years in prison.

She is due in court Thursday morning.
