HUNTLEY – Police arrested a Woodstock man during the weekend who is accused of videotaping a juvenile girl in the shower. Huntley police officers received a report March 4 of a man recording an underage girl Feb. 22 and 25 in Huntley.

Martin I. Vilchis-Caralampio, 41, of the 600 block of East Calhoun Street, Woodstock, and the girl knew each other, police said.

Vilchis-Caralampio is charged with child pornography and unauthorized videotaping of a victim younger than 18. If convicted of the most serious charge, child pornography, he could be sentenced to between six and 30 years in prison.

Vilchis-Caralampio’s bond is set at $250,000, meaning he must post $25,000 bail to be released from the McHenry County Jail, where he remained Monday afternoon.

Vilchis-Caralampio’s attorney, Evan Randall of Woodstock-based firm Michling Plaza and Associates, was not available to comment on the charges.

Vilchis-Caralampio is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
