Letter: Government doesn't care

To the Editor:

In a U.S. District Court case (Texas v. United States), the Department of Justice has filed a brief claiming that the requirement to provide health care insurance for people with pre-existing conditions is unconstitutional. If the courts accept this argument, insurance companies will be able to deny coverage to a person with a pre-existing or price coverage so high that it is out of reach for most people.

This action shows how much value the Trump administration places on health care for Americans.
