FIESTA DAYS, July 12-22, Petersen Park, 4300 Petersen Park Road, McHenry. A weekend of great music, food, and family fun. The weekend also features a carnival, car show, Sunday family fun day and the Taste of Fiesta Days. LAKE IN THE HILLS ROCKIN’ RIBFEST, July 12-15, Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road, Lake in the Hills. Four days of barbecue and entertainment. This family-oriented event will feature nationally renowned professional ribbers and great family entertainment featuring Too White Crew, Michael Jackson tribute Who's Bad, Little River Band, Libido Funk Circus and more. GARDEN WALK 2018, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14, McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake. A self-guided tour of 12 home gardens throughout the McHenry and Wonder Lake areas starting at the McHenry County Demonstration Garden at MCC. Sponsored by the University of Illinois Extension McHenry County Master Gardeners. Rain or shine. Tickets: $12 through July 3, $17 day of walk at MCC. HARVARD FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 14, on Ayer Street, Harvard. The festival will encompass three blocks of downtown Ayer Street with different varieties of food, live bands, children's entertainment, craft fair, art fair and classic car show. DAY OUT WITH THOMAS, July 14-15 and July 21-22, Illinois Railway Museum, Union. Parking lot opens at 7:30 a.m. Gate opens at 9 a.m. each day. Take a 20-minute train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine and meet with Sir Topham Hatt. Includes clowns, puppet shows, magic shows, Thomas & Friends Playtable, music, storytelling, balloon animals, unlimited rides on street cars, access to museum exhibits and more.
