Cary School District 26 is offering an at-risk preschool program and Preschool for All Program at Oak Knoll Early Childhood Center for the 2018-19 school year.
Children must be between the ages of 3 and 5 and be residents of Cary or Fox River Grove to qualify for the programs.
To determine eligibility, students must participate in a free screening Aug. 7 at Briargate Elementary School, 100 Wulff St., Cary.
The free programs are designed to deliver a preschool experience to children affected by a variety of factors, including economic need, low performance on screening, chronic illness and other health concerns, according to a news release from the school district.
Parents can schedule an appointment for the screening test by calling Briargate School at 224-357-5250.
