The Crystal Lake South boys golf team placed three individual golfers in the top four overall to capture the Cary-Grove Invitational title Thursday at Foxford Hills in Cary.
Cary-Grove senior Trevor Brandon earned medalist honors with a 3-over-par 75. Crystal Lake South's John Lishchynsky placed second with a 76, and Ricky Falbo (77) and Will Stewart (77) finished third and fourth, respectively.
The Gators won with a team score of 310, followed by C-G (326) and Prairie Ridge (327). Also for South, Griffin Coakley (80) placed eighth, Casey Hunter (81) took ninth and Eric Bregenzer (83) was 12th.
Prairie Ridge’s Dominic Leli (78) finished fifth, Eddie Winkelmann (79) took sixth and Connor Hamilton (82) was 10th. Crystal Lake Central’s Eric Klutke (79) was seventh, and C-G’s Cole Seeger (82) took 11th.
Boylan Invitational: At the Ledges in Roscoe, Marian Central’s Andrew Lydon had an 83 to lead the Hurricanes in their season-opening tournament. DeKalb won with a team score of 292, followed by Boylan (300) and Freeport (328).
Marian Central finished with a 359.
