Election Day is here. The day when democracy shines, the people have a voice and they can show their will. The only way to take part and have that full effect, however, is to get to the polls.
Think about that as you go about your day, find a time to research the candidates using our Election Central page – nwherald.com/election – and then get out and vote.
Voting usually doesn’t take long and you’re likely able to do it close to home. What you say there, with your ballot, will make a difference.
You can help choose the state’s next governor or choose the next McHenry County clerk or County Board members.
All of these will have a direct effect on you, your tax dollars and the future of the county and state.
