To the Editor:
Ah! The colors of fall! The red, white, blue, green and orange of elections signs at virtually every major intersection.
Now that the election is over, wouldn‘t it be great if this practice is discontinued? Does anyone really vote for a candidate because they saw the name on a street corner? Those signs have no room for a candidate’s stance on any issue.
At least the junk mail usually gives their views on the issues at hand. I, for one, think it would be a great idea to eliminate them. It would save the candidates the cost of that type of advertising, too. Unfortunately, the very people who would need to push for this change are the ones whose names are on the signs.
