Hebron United Methodist Church will host a Christmas Open House from noon to
3 p.m. Saturday at the church, 9811 Main St., Hebron.
The event includes a free chili luncheon, “Star Wars”-themed re-enactments of the Nativity every half-hour with members of the audience being cast in the roles, ornament decoration stations and a special public viewing of Nativity sets from around the world.
The event also serves as the premiere of a new Christmas CD, “A Hebron Christmas Portrait in Song and Memory,” featuring local holiday tales and music from the church choir and member musicians.
The CD will be distributed at no cost to visitors.
“Christmas is about community. It’s about togetherness, and it’s about all of us coming together to recognize the humanity in each other, as seen through the story of a family’s journey culminating in the birth of Christ,” the Rev. Jim Wilson said. “We invite all in the community to join us in celebrating the Christmas season with us, and to have a little fun in the process.”
