2 Cambridge Lakes Charter School students moving on in competitions

Two middle school students at Cambridge Lakes Charter School in Pingree Grove have advanced in the area's Geography and Spelling bees for the second year in a row.

Eighth-grader Suryaninad Bhamidi of West Dundee will compete in the Illinois Geography Bee for the second consecutive year. The competition will be March 29 at Heartland Community College in Normal.

Six-grader Pranav Kollu of Algonquin will compete in the regional Kane County Spelling Bee for the second consecutive year. Last year, he won the local competition and moved on to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. The regional Kane County Spelling Bee is scheduled for 7 p.m. March 14 at the Kane County Regional Office of Education in Geneva.

Both students are one win away again from heading to their respective national competitions in Washington, D.C.
