Village will hold brush pickup dates

The Prairie Grove Public Works Department is scheduling days for collecting resident tree materials on May 2 and 3.

Village staff will be out with the truck and chipper collecting branches left in piles on the front curb of residents’ properties.

This program is intended for larger tree branches and is not for the disposal of whole trees. No stumps or roots will be taken. All brush must be a minimum of 4 feet in length and between 2 to 8 inches in diameter. Small or thin branches can cause the chipper to jam and creates a safety hazard. Branches will be left behind if they cannot be put through the chipper safely.

All other waste placed in acceptable stickered containers will be picked up by Groot.
