The Fox Waterway Agency has issued a no wake and debris advisory for the entire Fox River north of Algonquin dam.

The agency issued the alert Sunday morning. It is effective on the river in zones A, B and C which includes the river as it extends north from the Algonquin dam in Algonquin to the Stratton lock & dam near McHenry, to the entrance at Pistakee Lake and the Chain O' Lakes.

Recent heavy rain and thunderstorms has caused some flooding along the Fox River.

The river at the McHenry dam was last observed this morning at 4.26 feet. Flood stage is 4 feet. The river at the Algonquin Tailwater is just under a 9.5 flood stage. It was last observed at 9.29 feet Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The service predicts the river at the Algonquin Tailwater will rise to 10 feet by Wednesday and then begin to drop back down.
