East Dundee gas station sells $450,000 winning lottery ticket

An East Dundee gas station sold a $450,000 winning lottery ticket for Sunday’s midday drawing.

The winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket was purchased at the Exxon station at 305 E. Main St. It matched all five numbers – 10-17-21-22-30 – to win the jackpot, according to the Illinois Lottery.

Exxon will receive a bonus of $4,500, or 1% of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

The Illinois Lottery said in a news release Monday that it urges the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the lottery’s five prize centers, located in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights.

Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

There were more than 15,400 other prizes won in Sunday’s drawing. In total, players won more than $490,000 in prizes, ranging from $1 to $200, in this drawing.
