The Crystal Lake Police Department is seeking help finding 89-year-old Frank Hyden, whose family reported him missing late Thursday when he failed to arrive at a family member’s home in Woodstock.

Police do not suspect foul play, but they believe Hyden became lost on his way to Woodstock, according to a news release sent Friday morning from the department.

A Silver Alert has been issued through Illinois State Police.

Family last spoke to Hyden on the phone at 5:30 p.m. Thursday while he was at his home in Crystal Lake, police said.

He is described as 5-foot-11 and weighs about 200 pounds.

Hyden has a gray beard and mustache, as well as gray hair that is balding on top, police said.

Hyden last was seen wearing a dark-colored ballcap and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. He drives a silver 2015 Chevrolet Spark with Illinois registration AD 36469, according to police.
