Luke DiFrancesca scored 12 points off the bench Wednesday to help lead Huntley past McHenry, 60-34, in the teams' Fox Valley Conference boys basketball game Wednesday in Huntley.
Ryan Sroka led the Red Raiders (5-2, 1-1 FVC) with 14 points, and Uchenna Egekeze scored 13 points. Six players knocked down 3s for Huntley in the win.
McHenry falls to 0-7 and 0-3 in the FVC.
Marengo 48, St. Joseph's (Australia) 35: At Marengo, Matt Volkening scored 17 points, and Brady Cannon and Aiden Smith tossed in nine points apiece for the Indians (7-1), who won their seventh straight game since a season-opening loss.
St. Joseph's visits Johnsburg on Thursday and Woodstock on Friday.
Burlington Central 52, Dundee-Crown 36: At Carpentersville, the Chargers (4-2, 1-1) were held to two first-quarter points in an FVC loss against the Rockets.
Crystal Lake Central 55, Prairie Ridge 43: At Crystal Lake, the visiting Tigers (3-4, 2-1) picked up an FVC win against the Wolves (0-7, 0-3). Caleb Noennig and Ryan Mendoza both had 17 points for the Tigers, and Blake Pokora had nine points. Mendoza made 8 of 9 free throws.
Ryan Hansen had 13 points and three 3s for Prairie Ridge. Mason Loucks had 12 points, and Bennett Barr tossed in six points on two 3s.
Hampshire 38, Jacobs 27: At Hampshire, Kelby Bannerman scored 12 of her game-high 18 points in the second half for the Whips-Purs (6-4, 2-1) in an FVC win. Bannerman made two 3s and 5 of 9 free throws.
Katie Del Re and Alyssa Cork had eight points apiece for Hampshire. Cork had two 3s.
Mackenzie Leahy led Jacobs (3-5, 1-2) with 12 points and two 3s, sinking all four of her free throws. Courtney Pahl had six points on two 3s, and Liz Schwartz tossed in five points.
Harvard 31, Genoa-Kingston 29: At Genoa, Lauren Shafer scored 11 points for the Hornets (6-3) in a nonconference win over the Cogs. Dinah Harter chipped in five points.
Woodstock 43, Antioch 32: At Antioch, Emma Brand poured in 21 points on seven field goals for the Blue Streaks (2-6) in a nonconference win. Brand made four 3s.
Juel Mecklenburg added nine points and two 3s, and Erin Lockwood tossed in seven points.
Johnsburg 57, Rockford Lutheran 31: At Johnsburg, the Skyhawks (3-5) earned a nonconference win over the Crusaders.
Huntley 2,359, Elgin 1,555: At Bowl-Hi Lanes in Huntley, Rachel Pepke rolled a personal-best 202 and a match-high 554 series in a victory for the Red Raiders. Gen Porsche had a 502 series and a high game of 183, and Jennifer Spielman had a 483 series and a high game of 185.
Woodstock 2,567, Westminster Christian 1,685: At Kingston Lanes in Woodstock, Norah Mungle led the Streaks (3-0) with a 482 series. Ceri Deacon rolled the high game with a 180.
Woodstock 2,538, Larkin 2,301: At Elgin Lanes, Brendan Matthes bowled a match-high 559 series for the Streaks. Ki Norgard rolled a 524 series, and Austin Arndt had the high game with a 212.
