Everyday Heroes: 2015

Making a difference in the lives of the youth of McHenry County

Welcome to "Everyday Heroes," a Northwest Herald project celebrating local residents who selfessly go above and beyond to make a difference in our communities. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of everyday heroes living around us.

This year, we are recognizing heroes who make a difference in the lives of McHenry County youth. They are not motivated by money or success, but by a love for children and a desire to make a our communities better places to live.

In November, we asked readers to nominate heroes who make a difference in children's lives. Our readers responded, and the best of the best are profiled here.

Check out our photo gallery of Everyday Heroes here.
