High school girls basketball: Hampshire's Bannerman, D-C's Crenshaw named IBCA All-State

Hampshire's Kelby Bannerman and Dundee-Crown's Alyssa Crenshaw were named to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State team Friday.

Bannerman, a 6-foot-1 junior forward, was named to the IBCA Class 3A third team, and Crenshaw, a 5-foot-10 junior, earned special mention honors in 4A. On Thursday, Crenshaw earned honorable mention Illinois Associated Press All-State honors.

Bannerman averaged 16.4 points and 10.8 rebounds a game for the Whip-Purs. She has 10 NCAA Division I offers, with more than 12 conferences actively recruiting her.

Crenshaw averaged 15.3 points and nine rebounds a game, leading D-C to a program-record 29 wins. The Chargers lost to Lake Park, 60-49, on Monday in the Class 4A South Elgin Supersectional.
