To the Editor:
During President Trump's impeachment trial, only 12 major and regional newspapers had the moral courage to call for his impeachment. Of the five newspapers I subscribe to, only the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Washington Post did so.
As we approach the election in November, I wonder how those newspapers who stood on the sidelines then will have the good judgment and common sense to support Joe Biden and call for Trump's defeat.
Trump is a crook and a liar, and, now more than ever, editorial boards need to step up and do their duty to give their readers the unvarnished truth. Fear of losing the readership of the 40% or so of the public that is still delusional enough enough to support Trump should not even be a factor.
