A fire caused the roof of a barn in Woodstock to collapse Saturday.
Capt. Brendan Parker of the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District said firefighters were dispatched at 4:40 p.m. to a barn behind the house at 14518 Perkins Road. When firefighters arrived, the barn was fully engulfed. The middle section of the barn ended up being burned out.
No injuries were reported, and there were no animals inside of the barn. Parker said it was mostly used as a machine shop to work on motorcycles.
The owners of the barn were inside their house at the time of the fire, which took about two hours to put out.
"We couldn't put crews inside because of the roof collapsing, so it was a lot of exterior work," Parker said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
